Friends of the Pflugerville Animal Shelter's was founded to raise funds to help the shelter care for our area's homeless animals and to help create shelter diversion programs helping to keep pets in their homes. We provide veterinary care including surgeries, prescription medications, foster assistance and more. We also help with some shelter improvements including building play yards to relieve kennel stress, build shade covers, cat room improvements and a real-life room to help prepare dogs for living in a home. Our shelter diversion programs are new and somewhat limited due to funding, but currently includes helping those experiencing financial hardship with pet food and when necessary some veterinary costs.
