DESCRIPTION:The annual REAL World Pflugerville: Career Connections event will be virtual this year\, and we're excited about the opportunity this gives us to connect more students with our businesses. The virtual event is scheduled over the course of two full days\, Wednesday\, March 24 and Thursday\, March 25\, 2021.  \n\n\n\n Here's how it will work. We're requesting Business/Industry partners provide a pre-recorded 10-20 minute video or a facility virtual tour. Partners can be creative in their videos to showcase their businesses. You can include the following in your video:\n\nIntroduction\n\nMission and purpose of your organization\n\nExplain what led you to pursue your career field\; please share your personal story\n\nDiscuss education\, training and certification required after high school pursuing this field\n\nDescribe the job outlook for this career field\n\nList skills that are important for young people entering the workforce\n\nTips for quality job applications/resumes (things you look for when screening)\n\nJob postings for any high school or graduating students\n\nAnswer Student Questions (We'll provide you with the questions)\n\n\n\nThis is a great opportunity to share your expertise with PfISD students interested in your career field. \n\n\n\nTo make this a successful event for our students\, we're requesting your support.
